One of those second-half substitutes was Alfredo Valente, who partnered Jordan in attack. The Whitecaps veteran came close to getting on the scoresheet, but his accuracy with two goal-bound headers from fine crosses by Takashi Hirano and Kindel eluded him.

6' Vanc Eduardo Sebrango (Nick Webb)
A neat pass from strike partner Webb allowed experienced Cuban hit-man Sebrango to break clear on goal and slip the ball past SFU goalkeeper Thomas Lindley.

19' Vanc Nick Webb (Steve Kindel)
Kindel at the top of the area cracked a shot off the crossbar, with the rebound falling to Webb who fired it in.

85' Vanc Jason Jordan (Dave Morris)
Vicente Arze on the left did well to fire the ball in. It went to Morris in front and his shot was blocked on the line, and Jordan burried the rebound from in close.
