• League Names Three Palace Players to All-League Teams［Club HP］
＊クリスタル・パレスは原田選手が今シーズンのUSL2のベストイレブンに選出されたと発表しています。MFとしての選出のようです。原田選手は「嬉しいと同時に驚いている。リーグ優勝と同時ならばもっと良かったのだが。チームの皆には感謝している。彼らのお陰で取れた賞なのだから」とコメントしているようです。

Crystal Palace FC USA are pleased to announce that midfielder Shintaro Harada Gary Brookshas received USL2 All-League First Team honors, while Gary Brooks and Matthew Mbuta have been named to the All-League Second Team. The league also announced that Pat Healey is in the running for the USL2 Rookie of the Year award and thatJim Cherneski and Pete Medd are finalists for USL2 Coach of theYear.

“When I heard the news, I felt great but also amazed!” remarked Harada on the award. “Last year I won second team honors and so this year I really wanted to make it to the first team.” He continued: “It would have been awesome if we had become champions along with it. But I appreciate all the other players on the team. I couldn’t make the best eleven without their help.”

＊クリスタル・パレスはプレーオフ準決勝、シャーロッテ戦に2-1で敗戦。チームはゲーム開始4分、原田選手のミドルシュートで先制したものの、後半65分、70分とシャーロッテに立て続けにゴールを決められてしまいました。原田選手はフル出場で攻守に貢献したようです。

Crystal Palace FC USA were defeated in an entertaining USL2 playoff semi-final match on Saturday night in Charlotte by the top-seeded Eagles. Shintaro Harada gave Palace a fourth minute lead, but two Charlotte goals in three minutes early in the second half were enough to see the North Carolina side through to the Championship match against the Cleveland City Stars next weekend.

But Palace had faked Charlotte perfectly as Teixeira instead rolled the ball back to the middle where Shintaro Harada hit a first-time shot from 30 yards out. The ball sped along the turf and inside the right post for Palace’s first goal against Charlotte all season.

The game was turned upside-down just three minutes into the second half. With his back to goal, half-time substitute Rob Ssejjemba took a great pass from Jorge Herrera and tried to turn his defender in the box. Harada reacted quickly and as he took his first steps to stay with the Ugandan forward, Ssejjemba flopped to the ground after minimal contact. Herrera stepped up to the spot and calmly sent Rowland the wrong way to pull Charlotte level.

With only 20 minutes to find an equalizer, Palace started to force Charlotte onto the back foot. Harada lofted a 40 yard free kick onto the head of Andrew Marshall at the back post but his effort glanced off the woodwork. Two minutes later, Mbuta fed Brooks and his low shot from an acute angle was well stopped by the outstretched hand of Boss. The non-stop action continued unabated as Ssejjemba just failed to get on the end of a free-kick at the other end of the pitch.
