The Charleston Battery has signed veteran defender Matt Bobo and Japanese midfielder Tsuyoshi Yoshitake for the upcoming USL First Division season; both players sign pending USSF approval. Bobo has spent the last three years with the USL1 Atlanta Silverbacks while Yoshitake comes to the Battery from Japanese Club, Tokyo Verdy 1969. Both players featured for the Charleston Battery during the recent Carolina Challenge Cup MLS games.

Yoshi will bring an attacking flair and some excitement to our wings and also has some crafty dribbling ability that should cause some problems for opposing teams.
