＊セルティックは欧州CL、アウェーのオールボー戦に2-1で敗戦。グループリーグ敗退となりました。後半53分にセルティックが先取点を奪いましたが逆転され悔しい結果に。オールボーのファイティングスピリッツが勝ったようです。俊輔選手はフル出場し果敢に攻撃したようですが結果を残せませんでした。

Unbeaten in eight matches under caretaker manager Allan Kuhn, Aalborg came into this match full of confidence, but it was Celtic who created the first chance when Shunsuke Nakamura threaded a pass through for Samaras – who was inches away from converting.

Celtic’s Japanese midfielder was seeing a lot of the ball as the Hoops dominated the early exchanges but spurned a glorious chance in nine minutes.

Samaras and McDonald combined to create space and the Aussie threaded a perfect pass through to Nakamura, who found himself clear on goal. The midfielder took a touch, composed himself and then scooped his shot over the bar.

Samaras also threatened before the break. Nakamura’s free-kick picked him out at the back post, but the Greek striker couldn’t direct his header on target.

CELTIC manager Gordon Strachan has pledged to send his team out to attack from the start in tonight’s crucial clash with Aalborg.

Celtic’s two away games in Group E so far have ended in losses to Villarreal (1-0) and Manchester United (3-0) but the manager took heart from his side’s display in Spain.

With Shunsuke Nakamura, Aiden McGeady and Shaun Maloney playing as an attacking trio behind lone striker Georgios Samaras, Celtic created chances and the manager hinted that he’s looking for a similarly offensive performance.

He said: “I was comfortable with the way we played in Villarreal and I did say that we carried as much of a threat as I’ve seen from us away from home. If we can get something like that again, and take our chances, that would be good.”
