＊The Vancouver SunはUSL1プレーオフ準決勝、モントリオール戦の試合終了間際の攻防を伝えているようです。平野選手はバレンテ選手のクロスをゴール前で頭で合わせましたが、ゴールポスト直撃の惜しいシュートとなったようです。モントリオールもロスタイムにシュートを放ちましたが、バンクーバーのDF陣が身を挺して防いだようです。

Vancouver Whitecaps skipper Jeff Clarke praised his side's resilience after they came from behind to beat the Montreal Impact and book a place in the USL First Division Championship final.

In the dying minutes substitute Takashi Hirano headed Valente's cross against a post, before Montreal replacement Tony Donatelli flashed a shot narrowly wide against his former employers in overtime. It was edge-of-the-seat stuff, but the home defence held strong and the Whitecaps were back in the USL First Division championship final -- which will be played at Swangard next Sunday (4 p.m.).
