United Soccer Leagues honoured the First Division's finest when it held its Championship Media & Awards Banquet at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown in Burnaby, BC, on Saturday afternoon.

The first accolades to be presented were the USL-1 All-League First and Second Team honours. Four Whitecaps in Martin Nash, Eduardo Sebrango, Wesley Charles, and Takashi Hirano received their awards, as did Puerto Rico's Bill Gaudette, Cristian Arrieta, and Jonny Steele. Gaudette received further acknowledgement after being named USL-1 Goalkeeper of the Year late last month.

• Puerto Rico Islanders at Vancouver Whitecaps［Club HP］
＊バンクーバーはリーグプレーオフ、アウェーのプエルトリコ戦に2-1で勝利し、リーグチャンピョンに輝きました。準決勝まではホーム＆アウェーの戦いでしたが、決勝は1発勝負だったようです。平野選手はベンチ入りしましたが出番は有りませんでした。プレーしたくてウズウズしていたのではないでしょうか。とにかく移籍1年目でのリーグ優勝おめでとうございます！

Vancouver Whitecaps FC claimed their second United Soccer Leagues First Division championship in three seasons after a thrilling 2-1 victory over Puerto Rico Islanders on Sunday afternoon.

Clarke flicked Alfredo Valente's corner at the near post on to Gbeke, who was then able to head the ball home at the far post for 1-0.

PR - Sandy Gbandi (Noan Delgado) 68'
Gbandi pulled Puerto Rico level when he headed home Delgado's cross from the left for 1-1.

VAN - Charles Gbeke (Justin Moose) 73'
Moose took Martin Nash's throw-in from the right before playing in a fine far-post cross. Gbeke rose highest to powerfully head the ball past a helpless Islanders goalkeeper Bill Gaudette for the match-winner.
